Does anyone know that film where this kid experiments...?

and I think it wasn't his device but they manage to enlarge tomatoes
somehow but actually how big a tomato would grow, whatever. And then
the kid blows himself up and then he romances his teacher but decides
to be young again and then his teacher decides to be young too and
they live happily ever after or whatever...
